The Humidity Sensor Accessory for the MFP-3D

The Humidity Sensor is an accessory that measures the humidity within a closed cell sample stage. It requires the Environmental Controller and MFP-3D AFM controller. The sample cell stage is for use with humid gases only.

The Humidity Sensor is designed for imaging AFM measurements at ambient temperature and pressure. Humidity of the gas surrounding the sample is measured with a rugged solid state replaceable sensor. Sensor absolute accuracy is ±3.5% Relative Humidity (RH) with a repeatability of ±0.5%. The sensor operates from 0-100% non-condensing relative humidity. RH stability is typically ± 0.2%, RH typical at 50% RH in one year. The sensor's response time to changes in RH is 15 seconds.

The sample cell has four 1/16" diameter sealed ports and three 0.036" diameter ports. All are O-ring sealed. The cell can be fully sealed with the same membrane as the closed fluid cell. It supports samples 30mm in diameter and with a thickness of 2mm. The maximum coarse sample translation is 10mm.

Environmental Controller
The Environmental Controller is a state-of-the-art digital controller that is required for use with Humidity Sensor Cell (purchased separately). All measurement functions are fully programmable through the IGOR Pro software interface. SmartStart™ allows plug and play operation without the use of parameter files
