AFM image of lipid bilayer stacks on Mica in Milli-Q-H2O. The lipid bilayer was formed by vesicle fusion. Vesicles were obtained by sonication of a 200µg/ml 1,2-Dipalmitoyl-3-Trimethylammonium-Propane (DPTAP) solution.
The image was scanned in Tapping Mode with a scan size of 5µm. The maximum range of the image is 40nm with an average height of 7-8nm per single bilayer stack.
