Careers | Test Engineer/Nanomechanics Applications for Atomic Force Microscopy Detail-oriented, self-starter with technical, scientific, and/or mechanical background needed for mechanical, electronic, and software testing of high precision atomic force microscopes. Duties include completing standardized tests on the microscopes, generating test reports, providing electronic troubleshooting support to entire test department, writing software to automate new test procedures, and interfacing with application scientists and R&D for product development. The position will ultimately grow into an Applications/R&D/Support position for nanomechanical applications. The ideal candidate will have a background in scanning probe/atomic force microscopy, and instrumented nanoindentation, and tribology. BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Material Science or equivalent. Must have mechanical design and electronics aptitude, and good customer and communication skills. Programming skills a plus (IGOR Pro). There will be frequent interface with production and applications.
